Hello,

I am a plastic surgeon who focuses on ‘aesthetic surgery of the face’.

I accept my patients in my own private practice in Ankara. I perform my surgeries in private hospitals in Ankara, especially Acıbadem Ankara Hospital, with which I have an agreement.

I started my early education life in Adana, the city where I was born. I completed my secondary and high school education at TED Ankara College. I started my medical education and professional career at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. Immediately after graduating from medical school in 2004, I started my specialty training in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery of the same university. In 2010, after completing my specialty training, I completed my upper specialisation in Aesthetic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland City, U.S.A. During the years I was there, Cleveland Clinic was ranked 3rd in the ranking of the best hospitals in the U.S.A. I can say that I have internalised the Patients First principle by living in this institution. During my upper specialisation, I received post-specialty training in the whole spectrum of aesthetic surgery. I actively saw patients, performed surgery, looked after the emergency department and postoperative intensive care. In my upper specialisation, I worked under the mentorship of James Edward Zins, one of the leading names in the world of facelift surgery, and had the opportunity to learn the deep plan anatomy of the face and deep plan facelift techniques from him. My work on the deep plan anatomy of the face received the best aesthetic presentation award at the American Society of Plastic Surgery Congress held in New Orleans in 2012.

Between 2013-2017, I returned to Hacettepe University Department of Plastic Surgery, my home, my professional family, which I am proud to be a graduate of, as a lecturer. During the 4 years I spent as a lecturer, I matured even more in the profession with the support of my professors and colleagues in the department. I became an associate professor in 2015.

In addition to facial aesthetics at the university, I was also intensively involved in reconstructive (repair surgery) side of plastic surgery such as micro surgery, hand surgery, tumour surgery, as well as assistant and student education. Since the intensity of my academic career limited the time and energy I could devote to facial aesthetics and facial rejuvenation, which is my main area of interest, I left Hacettepe University, where I worked very fondly, and opened my own private practice.

In my ongoing academic career, I have published over 45 international scientific articles accepted by international indexes (SCI/SCIE). You can access my scientific publications from the publications tab on the website. Among these publications are surgical techniques described for the first time in the medical literature on rhinoplasty and facial aesthetics. We carry out my scientific studies with a team that we worked together at the same university in the past and still produce ‘knowledge’ together in private medicine. Scientificity is an uncompromising principle in my practice. I believe that a physician should follow and contribute to the scientific literature regardless of the institution in which he/she works. In my clinical practice, I do not perform any practice that is not supported by scientific data and not filtered by the literature.

I write a web blog at www.yeniyuzyenihayat.com, which aims to inform the public about facial aesthetics. As far as I know, it is one of the most comprehensive online resources written in Turkish in the field of facial aesthetics. Every day its content is getting richer and richer.
